The NUHS Surgical Pathology course 2019 will mainly comprise soft tissue tumour pathology complemented by a smaller component of dermatopathology. Our main guest faculty speakers are Professor Brian Rubin (Cleveland Clinic), internationally renowned soft tissue tumour pathologist, and Professor Lorenzo Cerroni (University of Graz), highly-respected in the fields of dermatology and dermato-pathology. The course will also feature other guest speakers from the Asia Pacific region (Australia, China, India and South Korea) who are leading soft tissue tumour pathologists. The faculty from NUHS will include surgical pathologists, A/Prof Victor Lee, A/Prof Fredrik Petersson and A/Prof Tan Kong Bing, who are highly experienced in these subspecialties. Online and other electronic resources will be provided to enhance the learning experience and better engage the participants.
The basic goal of this course is to provide an updated but practical review of various soft tissue tumours and dermatopathological conditions, highlighting the salient histopathological features of key or newly-emerging entities, the relevant molecular diagnostics and the importance of clinicopathological correlation.
This course is suitable for practising pathologists, pathology fellows and residents and clinicians managing soft tissue tumours and skin diseases.
