Medical Students Summer School


The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) is bringing back the Medical Students Summer School for 2024! It is open to Australian and New Zealand medical students in any year of study, offering the opportunity to gain an understanding of the wide range of pathology specialities. This is an opportunity to learn more about the role of pathology in healthcare, including current research and future advances. The content will be relevant whether you are considering a career in pathology or not; all doctors use pathology services and benefit from a greater understanding of the speciality.

You will hear from Anatomical, Chemical, Forensic, Genetic, Haematology, Immunopathology and Microbiology Fellows and Trainees.

Students from all Australian Medical Council (AMC) and New Zealand accredited universities are encouraged to apply. Applicants will be selected based on application responses, and priority may be given to applicants who are in their penultimate or final year of medical school.

Eligible rural/regional NSW, Interstate and NZ applicants may be eligible for the Accommodation and Travel Grant which includes return economy airfares and 2 nights of accommodation in a single occupancy room with breakfast included. These grants are limited, and strict booking deadlines apply.
