Pathology Update takes place from 1 to 3 March 2024, Adelaide Convention Centre
This is where you’ll find the latest information about our annual flagship event. It tells you what’s happening when, and signposts where you can find the information you need to prepare for your visit.
It will be updated every month to make sure you don’t miss any deadlines for any contributions and registration you’d like to make, so be sure to pop back here regularly.
We’re very much looking forward to welcoming all our Fellows and Trainees to Adelaide. This is Pathology Update’s first foray into South Australia, so we are excited to see all that the festival state has to offer!

We have 10 international speakers presenting at Pathology Update 2024. As guests of the RCPA Pathology Update 2024 Overseeing Committee and Scientific Program Committees, they will provide insights across the disciplines.

Education, training and CPD
We have a packed scientific program planned, with topical presentations to educate, inform and stimulate discussions. Over three days, we have eight scientific streams covering all the disciplines, 134 presentations, 42 cases, four plenary sessions, 164 speakers and
10 international speakers, and
10 partners and 35 exhibitors.
Regardless of where you are in your professional journey – Trainee or experienced Fellow – there are opportunities to learn, discuss and network with peers and pathology leaders.

Admission of new Fellows
Of course, one of the highlights of any Pathology Update is the admission of new Fellows to the RCPA. After years of toil and hard graft, this is a special moment to savour and celebrate for our new Fellows and one to inspire others in the wings.
Applications are open for admission to Fellowship at the RCPA.
Eligible Trainees may apply for Fellowship six to eight weeks before their training completion date.
The 2024 Admission of New Fellows and Awards Ceremony will take place on
Saturday 2 March 2024 at Pathology Update at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
If you would like to attend the 2024 Ceremony, Fellowship applications must be submitted no later than close of business on
Monday 15 January 2024. Find out more
