  • In order to register online you must have login credentials provided to you by the College. If you do not have these please complete the Pathology Update 2024 Speaker Registration Form or email evep@rcpa.edu.au.
  • Do not select the NEW REGISTRANT option.
  • Please ensure you give permission for your presentations to be available online via the registration process.

INVITATION FOR INVITED SPEAKER ABSTRACTS  

Invited speakers on the Pathology Update 2024 Scientific Program (Meet the Chief Examiners & Speakers for the Medical/Science Students Breakfast are exempt) are invited and encouraged to submit an abstract.

Trainee presenting a  Case Presentation must submit an abstract.

All abstracts will be electronically published in the College academic journal, Pathology, and will be accessed through the Pathology Update 2024 App for all delegates.

The Journal is published by Elsevier the Editor is Prof Richard Scolyer, and the impact factor is 5.335

Submit your speaker abstract via the Pathology Update 2024 Arinex Speaker Portal that has been emailed directly to you. If you have not received this email evep@rcpa.edu.au immediately.

ACCOMMODATION

The Crowne Plaza Adelaide in a King Standard Room $275.00 AUD inclusive of breakfast for one guest and WIFI.

Should you require additional accommodation over your RCPA entitlements please add to your request.

Extra nights at own expense.

Speakers can walk from the Crowne Plaza to the Adelaide Convention Centre which is a 20 minute flat walk or get the Tram.


FLIGHTS

Qantas is the preferred Pathology Update 2024 airline. Your outbound flight will be booked on the best available fare of the day and your return flight will be booked on a semi-flexible fare.

ADELAIDE AIRPORT TO THE CROWNE PLAZA

If using taxis or ride share options, please allow approximately 40 minutes (depending on traffic) from Adelaide Airport to the Crowne Plaza.


VISA REQUIREMENTS

It is the responsibility of each traveller to ensure they have the appropriate entry/visa requirements for their travel to Australia. Please see the Department of Immigration and Border Protection website to check what your requirements are and/or to apply for your visa online.

As a conference speaker the visa type to select is the Business Short Visa.

Please note, New Zealand citizens do not need to apply for a visa before coming to Australia.
 

TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. By submitting your travel registration form either online or by email, you are in acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. 
  2. Credit cards are required at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation if you have opted to extend your stay either side of the conference dates, or outside of the number of complimentary nights you are entitled to. Your credit card validity date must be greater than 04/24. 
  3. Cancellations of hotel bookings received on or after Thursday 25 January 2024 will incur a 100% cancellation fee. 
  4. Travel Insurance is recommended. 
  5. For overseas delegates, transactions will be made in Australian Dollars (AUD) using the currency exchange rate on the day of transaction.
