Common Sense Pathology

Common Sense Pathology (CSP) is a colour supplement published with Australian Doctor magazine at regular intervals throughout the year.

CSP is primarily aimed at GPs across Australia and is also available to other medical practitioners and medical students with access to Australian Doctor magazine. It is published to assist GPs about the quality use of pathology, using practical case based scenarios with clear and concise information that is a useful and important aid in deciding which pathology tests are most appropriate for the diagnosis and management of different illnesses.

The topics chosen for CSP are considered to be of greatest benefit to the community (in terms of burden of illness, complexity of diagnosis etc), regardless of the age, sex, cultural or linguistic background of the patient. This publication is supported by funding from the Australian Government Department of Health.
